ROTATIONAL MOVEMENT TRAINING By Robert Hoffman, Gym Manager

GYM

Rotation and transverse movements are the fundamental essence of the human movement. Whether we are rotating to the left and right, walking or running, all our joints articulate with some degree of rotation. Rotational Movement Training helps to strengthen, balance and unify the body while training it to move with high efficiency. It involves circular and spiral movement patterns that promote communication and connection between muscles, tendons, connective tissues (fascia) and joints within the body. In order to maximize one’s athletic ability or have a proper functional movement pattern, the body must align the core with the rest of the body in similar fashion. Movement patterns used in training exercises are beneficial for common sports and everyday activities. These training exercises for rotational movements also prepare the body to execute movements with greater ease and fluidity, and increase the power and explosiveness of movements while decreasing the risk of injuries.
