Chef Thang Thai Hoa Phan Chef Thang was born in Saigon and grew up in Germany. She is a published author, university lecturer, owner of NEX restaurant and a familiar face on MasterChef Vietnam where she made it to the Top 3 in 2013. Subsequently she made appearances in MasterChef Vietnam in 2015, Junior MasterChef Vietnam in 2016 and other TV cooking shows. She is also an acclaimed interior architect.
