A Literary Evening

Join in our next edition of A Literary Evening with author Stephanie Suga Chen, who will discuss her debut novel Travails of a Trailing Spouse . The semi-autobiographical novel follows the adventures of Sarah, a successful Taiwanese-American partner at her San Francisco law firm, and her neuroscientist husband Jason as they move to Singapore with their two young children. They became part of a close-knit group of expatriates and enjoy evenings filled with Trivia Nights, barbeques and drinks. But when cracks

appear in this seemingly perfect world – with two members of the group getting arrested after a pub crawl – Sarah and her friends discover how complicated and varied life as an expatriate can be.
