Beauty and wellness are two areas that have been in the spotlight. Particularly among urban dwellers, self-care is essential in living a full and happy life.

WELLNESS AND SELF -CARE All-time favorite guest therapist from California, Julian Eymann, has returned to the Club, by popular demand. His unique style of deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy helped alleviate aches, neck pain, frozen shoulders, lower back pain and sciatic nerve issues.

STAYING CURRENT In November 2022, the Spa team leaders attended Cosmoprof Asia, a leading international beauty trade show, at Singapore Expo. A myriad of booths from different countries showcased new products and technologies for beauty, hair and nails. It was an eye-opening experience for the attendees. Senior Hair Stylist, Edward Tsen, who has worked at sên Spa for nine years, flew to Tokyo in March 2023 to attend a five-day Aveda brand immersion course. Through salon tours, he learned the techniques of displaying products to facilitate retail sales and achieve a positive brand image. Besides technical workshops, Edward also attended a runway event featuring APAC and global hair artists, lan Michael Black and Masa Honda, which has inspired him to be more creative with colors and styling.

Over the fiscal year, the Spa team attended various training sessions:

• The Hair Technician team attended product launches from Goldwell, Olaplex and Epres.

• The Nail Technician team attended training sessions by The Gel Bottle on practical and product knowledge. • The Beauty Therapist team attended training sessions by Lycon on treatment and product knowledge. • The Beauty and Massage Therapist teams underwent internal cross-training for beauty and massage services.
