Dear Members, We're all looking forward to a fantastic summer! Our first summer in two years without major COVID-19 restrictions. From what we can tell, many Members plan to spend time in the Club when they're not away on their well-deserved vacations. WHERE MEMBERS BECOME FRIENDS Summers with my family have always revolved around the Club: Four th of July festivities, attending camps, library visits, pool fun and catching up with good friends over a classic burger and chocolate shake by the Pool. Besides being a great place to meet and enter tain old friends, I've always thought of our Club as a place "where Members become friends." Where the Club creates the oppor tunities and we do the rest! For most parents, this seems to happen best when waiting around the pool, The Quad or Taekwondo sessions. It worked well for my family where half of our friends and our children's friends are Club Members. After all, we are a social club! Let's see who we - and our kids - meet this summer! CONTINUING THE "MEET & GREET" SPIRIT The Communications Committee and our Marketing & Communications team par tnered up in March to present the first-ever General Committee (GC) Meet & Greet. Member s were able to meet many GC Members in one vir tual call. It was a success! Along the same lines of getting to know our GC Member s, I ’ve asked the GC to share a bit more about themselves and their summer plans. Linda Schindler is the AmericanWomen Association’s Pres i dent and representat i ve to our GC . A Vietnamese-Amer ican, she was named after the original Wonder Woman, Lynda Car ter, and has a wonder woman’s passion for our Club, programs and food! Linda’s husband, Michael, a former Levi Strauss executive, sits on our Social & Dining Committee
