S/N Item 1.

a. Chair called the meeting to order at 2.06pm and handed over to AP to discuss the meeting’s agenda. A) Club Incidents a. AP shared that the past FY 2022 has had the lowest no. of incidents recorded in comparison to the last 3 years (2019-2021). Also, there were not much incidents for the past few months and the Club was fairly quiet. b. Member incidents comprised of sports injuries (happening mostly at the tennis courts) and injuries that occurred outside the Club wherein first-aid were rendered. There was a decrease in the no. of incidents involving the Walholla after the installation of safety features. AP thanked NM and EY for working on it. c. Meanwhile, staff incidents mostly involved knife cuts, prevailing health issues (diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc.) & injuries outside the Club, as well as slips, trips and falls (non-serious). AP further shared that slips, trips and falls is the no. 3 workplace incident in Singapore. He also commended the Stewarding team for diligently cleaning the floors especially in the kitchens. d. Overall, lower incidents reported compared to last year. e. It was noted on the Sick Leave report, that there was a big jump in medical leave due to Covid- 19 positive cases. FY 22 doubled to 1498 versus average of 700+ from the last 3 years (2019- 2021). f. Though figures were hard to compare due to government restrictions, AP shared that should the basis be on pre-covid numbers, the Club averages about 700 sick leaves a year which is equivalent to 2 staff not working for the whole year. g. On the other hand, no record was available for unpaid medical via QuickHR for July-Dec 2021.
