STAFF FEATURE

When Members voted to move forward with redevelopment in 2015, both Members and staff knew that change was imminent. While Members had to get used to the inconvenience of construction and outlet closures, our staff grappled with switching outlets, learning new skills and trades, and familiarizing themselves with the operations of new outlets. Star ting with the Jackpot Room’s closure in 2016, many of our staff were retrained and redeployed to other outlets to keep up with the changing times in The Club. Whether it’s a staff transferring from a casual café to the fine-dining restaurant, or a staff taking on more responsibilities after receiving a promotion, our philosophy on training is simple – training is ageless, and everyone should take the oppor tunity to better themselves when they can. The Club is supportive of such endeavours and provides employees with ample opportunities to discover their strengths and preferred working environment. Our ever-supportive Management and People Development (PD) team also go to great lengths to ensure each employee is assured of 3 things:We listen. We care. You matter. REDEPLOYMENT The American Club has long considered The Club’s employees one of its biggest assets.Whether it’s front of the house or heart of the house, everyone works hard to contribute to the kind of atmosphere we take pride in – a haven of comfort and familiar respite.
