Magazine Mar-Apr 2019

We are getting closer to the completion of the redevelopment project. Here’s a look at the next few months.

TOP 3B This includes Tradewinds, the Lobby, Central Production Kitchen and Claymore Entrance We are eagerly awaiting government authority inspections, which are pending for: PUB for bathroom, sinks and plumbing, BCA for structural integrity, and NEA for noise and environment. Due to this, the anticipated TOP date has been pushed back to March. Pending any large rectification that may be needed, it is expected to be handed over late March/Early April. Additionally, we are awaiting the shipment date of the Lobby furniture, which may affect opening. For Tradewinds the furniture has arrived and staff training has commenced. We are planning ahead to minimize the time needed for handover. We are considering one week of invited soft launch trials before openings to all Members.

ANTICIPATED HANDOVER: End of March/ Early April

REDEVELOPMENT UPDATES

ANTICIPATED OPENING: End of April

TOP 2B This includes the Gym and the Gourmet Pantry

ANTICIPATED HANDOVER: MID MAY

Good news - The Gourmet Pantry, originally slated for TOP 4, has been moved forward to TOP 2B with the Gym due to its level of progress. Additionally, the new pilings in the Gym were successful and progress continues. TOP inspection clearance for the Gym is also expected to be a lengthy process due to complex drainage, plumbing and water in the locker rooms and it is likely to face similar delays as the Lobby. We cannot request inspection of these spaces until TOP 3B passes.

ANTICIPATED OPENING: MID TO LATE JUNE

TOP 4 This includes Tennis Social, Admin Office and Back of House

We are awaiting URA approval for the design of the Tennis Social area and this is anticipated by the end of February. Once the approval is received, construction can start. At this point, we are anticipating a handover and TOP date in Q3 of 2019. We will provide further details when we have greater clarity.
