This was my first time swimming at Nationals and I really enjoyed it! I learnt more about how technical swimming can be when people were disqualified. I enjoyed being part of The American Club team and I got to know some of the other swimmers better. I really liked racing against other people in Singapore and getting a lot of PBs! - Maile Sullivan (Junior Swimmer) The excitement and energy at theOCBCArena during Nationals were amazing! It was so great to see Maile and the rest of The American Club's team competing during the races. Maile had a great time getting to know the rest of the team better and swimming some of her best times. Thanks to Coach Shan, Coach Efren and the rest of the Aquatics team! - Marcella Sullivan (Maile’s mom) It was another fantastic year at SNAGs for The American Club’s Shooting Stars swim team. The kids, Jay, and I look forward to the competition each year. As always, the kids worked hard preparing for their races and were rewarded with some phenomenal personal best times. In fact, Anna made finals for her backstroke for the first time. She was over the moon! Emma was absolutely thrilled to crush her best times for all of her races. She was so excited she literally bounced from race to race. As parents, it makes us happy to see how proud the kids are of their achievements, and how strong and happy they feel when they break a new personal record. One last and equally important note – we wish to extend a huge thank you to Coach Shan for her tireless support and encouragement of each swimmer. Shan spent several very long weekends and weekdays at the OCBC Aquatic Centre preparing each competitor for her/his races. Her dedication and The National swim meet was a great experience for both my daughter and our family. It was the first formal swim meet that Nicole participated in and we are really thankful that the coach encouraged her to take part in this memorable opportunity. During the meet, I was so impressed to see all the supportive parents, and how teammates encouraged and cheered for each other. From now on, Nicole would like to participate for The American Club, as long as we are in Singapore. - Hueyting (Nicole’s mom) support are greatly appreciated by all. - Patricia Bierley (Anna and Emma’s mom)
