SHOOTING STARS 15/16 SEASON

The team has grown with swimmers joining us from other programs as well as through the promotion of swimmers from within our Learn to Swim program. Unfortunately, it is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to the following swimmers who will be leaving us this summer: Emma Bell, Sofia Bucey, Kate Dalziel, Dylan Foster, Payton Foster, Flynn House, Juliet Lowery, Mia Lowery, Chloe Ng and Declan Pollard – we wish them all the best with the move! The Club also wishes everyone a lovely summer and we look forward to welcoming you all back for the Fall season commencing on August 15 at Bukit Merah! If you would like to knowmore about the Shooting Stars Swim Team and how you can be a part of this awesome group, please feel free to contact the Aquatics Department.

The Shooting Stars Swim Team has had a very successful year despite the bumpy start to the season with more than a month of training sessions cancelled due to the haze! We took part in 12 external and 5 internal swim meets. Highlights include the Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships (SNAGS) and the Indian Ocean All Stars Challenge (IOASC) held in Perth, WA. As a team, the swimmers have set many records, with the standouts being Payton Foster winning our first medal at SNAGS, Anna Bierley qualifying for the finals at SNAGS (Seniors) and Maile Sullivan winning the Overall Champion Trophy for Girls 8 & Under at IOASC! Our in-house Starfish Swim School Meet was a very fitting way for both coaches and swimmers to bid farewell to our current pool with some great end-of-season personal best times achieved.
