On Saturday, April 9, The Club hosted the Grand Slam Team Tennis Challenge. Our 23 participants were divided into four teams – Australia, France, Great Britain and USA. The teams competed against each other in a series of doubles matches and extra challenges. After an exhilarating and fun-filled day, team Great Britain, formed by Members Lorraine Hadley, Team Captain Herman Ali, Nafees Khundker, Alvaro Patron, Robert Murphy, James Hsieh and Jim Arpin, swept the trophy. Our thanks to all who participated and we On Saturday, May 7, 25 junior players enjoyed themselves in a great mini tennis tournament. The younger kids had a half court while the slightly older kids had a three-quarter court. We will be organizing another mini tennis tournament in the fall – be sure not to miss it! SINGLES JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS The Club’s Singles Junior Championships took place on the weekend of May 13 – 15. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for our juniors to compete with other players and to observe their progress in a competitive environment.
